I simply adore the denim look

Its hard to create during summer, too busy getting he perfect tan i guess. During my time in paris I spent a week in a Fashion camp where I created a look inspired by the "simple shirt".

The jeans I did not make as you could have guessed though both top items are derived from simple shirts. I really wanted to work with variations of blue, which is why the vest is in pastel blue and the bustier in sky blue.

I made a slightly over sized vest to create a vintage look. I used the sleeves once found on the shirt to create a belt marking the waist. I added green wool details to the collar to bring life to the outfit and add a little something special.

The bustier is also made from a shirt, a mens shirt. The collar is used add the front to make sure the bustier sits perfectly. This material is perfect as it sits in an unusual way. It is not completely straight nor does it stick to the body. I highly recommend taking an old shirt and giving it a whole new life as I did.
